this is a deck i found that revolves around the card mortal combat.
how well built is this deck? and how to use it? such as what works with what.
what can be added and what can be taken out?

For your mana, you have 22 blue spells, and 18 Swamps. Since your putting 20 lands in, I would suggest adjusting your land so you have a better chance at drawing something decent. Maybe 11 Islands and 9 Swamps?

If you're going to be discarding your own cards, then consider adding cards that you can draw with a la Mulldrifter. At least you'd have more options.

I'd replace Cancel with Faerie Trickery from Lorwyn or Counterspell from the Duel Decks. To me, Cancel is just a bleh counter spell.

4 Traumatizes a bit too much, even if you're going to mill yourself. Cut it down to 2, and replace with something less demanding like Memory Sluice.

Rotting Rats (all players discard a card)
Corpse Connoisseur (get creature card from deck to graveyard)
Bone Splinters (Sac. a creature to destroy another)
Archdemon of Unx (every upkeep sac. a non-zombie, and put a 2/2 zombie in).
